Marilyn graduated from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She
was a cum laude graduate, a member of Beta Alpha Psi, a honorary accounting fraternity, and a member of Beta
Gamma Sigma, a honorary business fraternity.
Upon graduation, Marilyn went to work for the Houston office of KPMG LLP, one of the Big 4 national accounting firms.
She spent the majority of her 6 years at KPMG working on audits in the financial services industry including a national
mutual fund company, small investment groups, broker dealers, various real estate companies, small to mid-sized
banks, and insurance companies. Marilyn also worked as a internal audit manager for the American General Investment
Group, a subsidiary of AIG where she worked on various audit engagements as well as serving as a consultant for the
development of a new trading system.
After taking some time off to stay at home with her 3 children, Marilyn returned to work at RMI Physicians Corporation.
While at RMI, Marilyn worked on various audits, and served as a consultant to improve internal controls in various
departments throughout the organization.
Marilyn and her husband, Mike, have lived in Pearland, Texas since 1997. Mike has been a teacher and a coach for
Pearland ISD for more than 10 years. Marilyn and her husband love being a part of the Pearland community and Marilyn
looks forward to serving individuals and business owners in the area.
Marilyn and Mike have been involved in various areas of New Hope Church since 1998. Marilyn loves running and
training for the Houston Half Marathon each year and is looking forward to completing in her first sprint triathlon this
spring.
